SEAC BM-30 - THE LAUNCH OF FRC™ TECHNOLOGY IN THE LATEST SEACSUB FIN MADE IN ITALY

With the new SEAC BM-30 fins, Seacsub launches the new FRC™ - Fully Responsive Compound technology.

It all started with the search for a polymer blend that would allow the company from San Colombano Certenoli to produce fins with performance similar to those of carbon fiber and fiberglass, while eliminating the well-known fragility issues of these compounds.

They have thus arrived at a compound with unprecedented mechanical characteristics that Seacsub's design and production expertise has transformed into a new technology dedicated to the production of fins with even higher performance.

FRC™ - Fully Responsive Compound technology has therefore met all of Seacsub's production requirements:

- Negative fins and thinner fin blades than their technopolymer predecessors, thanks to the fluidity and specific weight of the material.

- The product design leverages the mechanical properties of the compound for an elastic response similar to that of carbon and fiberglass.

- No risk of breakage or permanent deformation thanks to the high resilience of the compound and its high elastic limit and tear resistance, even at low temperatures.

- The high resistance and elastic modulus allow maximum use of the typical geometry of carbon and fiberglass blades without the need for reinforcing ribs or protective covers.

- Reduced carbon footprint compared to conventional technopolymers used in the industry and complete absence of toxic elements.

The uniqueness of the SEAC BM-30 fins lies in this technology that combines innovative materials with hydrodynamic and ergonomic geometries.

The compound used is so elastic and has such a high shape memory that -in an absurd demonstration- if we looked at the blade after rolling it onto itself, once released it would still retain its original geometry, without any permanent structural deformation that could compromise its performance.

Like the successful Motus series, the short blade of the BM-30 is made with two different materials, a stiffer one on the sole for stability and a softer one on the upper part to provide maximum comfort during prolonged use.

The SEAC BM-30 fin blade has a 30° angle to facilitate both surface kicking and to adapt to the natural ankle inclination during the dive. The small stabilizer fins located at the tip of the blade, at the point of greatest water flow, prevent the fin from shifting laterally without compromising its proper flex.

The SEAC BM-30 fins are 100% Made in Italy, produced at the Seacsub solar-powered factory.

The BM30 blade material

A lightweight and reactive technopolymer, unique of its kind to date, offering performance similar to that of carbon fiber-based composite, while eliminating the well-known problem of material fragility. The technopolymer used is so elastic and has such a high shape memory that, in an extreme demonstration, if we were to look at the blade after rolling it onto itself, once released it would still retain its original geometry, with no permanent structural deformation that could compromise its performance.

The BM30 blade geometry

The SEAC BM30 fins blade has a 30° angle. This more pronounced angle is ideal both for facilitating surface kicking and for adapting to the natural ankle inclination during the dive. In addition, the ultra-thin and differentiated profile creates optimal flex and reduces weight. Small stabilizing fins located at the tip of the blade, at the point of greatest water flow, prevent the fin from shifting laterally without compromising the correct flex of the blade's technopolymer.

The BM30 foot pocket geometry

The BM30 foot pocket is optimized to fit blades with a 30° angle. The short ribs of the foot pocket help the blade's technopolymer to express its full reactivity and flexibility.
