DESCRIPTION
No-fog system. The main innovation of the CRESSI QUANTUM ANTI-FOG SYSTEM AZUL METAL mask is that it prevents fogging by internally thermoregulating the warm, humid air exhaled through the nose. This air is channeled through a system of subtle membranes placed in the frame around the eyes and nose, which redirect the airflow preventing the warm exhaled air from directly reaching the lenses.
The outer part of the skirt features a thermal exchange system composed of two small heat exchangers that act as radiators. The effect is that the interior temperature of the mask decreases, approaching the outside temperature, and moisture microdroplets adhere before the air reaches the lenses, preventing fogging.
IMPORTANT
The lenses are not chemically treated and it should be remembered that, when the mask is new, as with all masks, it is recommended to carefully clean the lenses with Prenofog or traditional toothpaste to remove the volatile compounds accumulated on the glass from the skirt once the mask is manufactured. It is also always useful to use alcohol-free anti-fog or alternatively saliva as a surfactant before each dive.
New Skirt. The skirt also features other improvements. The outer lip of the skirt in contact with the face has a decreasing thickness that improves fit and maintains comfort during long hours of use. The lower sealing area has been thoroughly redesigned to prevent leaks at this critical point without compromising comfort. The new CRESSI QUANTUM ANTI-FOG SYSTEM skirt is especially enveloping, flexible and stable,
Frame. The exceptionally reduced frame structure allows a close approach to the lenses without contact issues with the frame. The internal volume is therefore reduced to the absolute minimum, and any view of the frame from the inside is eliminated. The lenses, tilted 15° and extended above the cheekbones ("Big Eyes" system), increase downward visibility by more than 30% compared to a traditional mask, while upward and lateral visibility are increased to the limit allowed by the frame thickness itself: Total vision -3% in upward visibility and total vision -5% in lateral visibility. The structural rigidity of the central bridge has been particularly studied to prevent loss of lens alignment due to excessive strap tension, which could cause optical distortions.
Buckles. Fully pivoting buckles in all directions, attached to the frame through a flexible and unbreakable elastomer. The strap tension acts directly on the frame, maintaining mask stability and bringing the lens as close as possible to the eyes. The anchoring of the buckle system to the frame prevents deformation of the silicone skirt during use (common in models where buckles are anchored to the skirt itself), and the strap tension is aligned with the plane of the lens, allowing the user to optimize the desired level of lens-to-eye proximity and, therefore, the optimal volume and visibility of the mask.
